Many of you will have seen the magnificent Versailles exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia over the last two months, but join the Friends of the National Library of Australia in February to see the end result of this excess - the French Revolution.
The National Library holds an extraordinary collection of material related to the French Revolution, with one of the highlights being the huge collection of 18th-century French Revolutionary pamphlets. The Friends of the National Library are holding a one-night only collection viewing of the Revolutionary pamphlets on Thursday 9 February. A selection of related collection material will also be on display, including rare books, pictures, maps and cartoons.
Seats are limited, so francophiles should book early for this one.
