Clément Baloup has been working for several years on Viet Kieu's memoirs, that is to say on the Vietnamese diaspora, first in France with graphic novels Quitter Saigon, and Linh to les immigrés de force, then to the USA with Little Saigon and finally Taiwan with Les Mariées de Taiwan.
Leslie Barnes, Senior Lecturer in French Studies at the Australian National University and specialist in migration in
Asian literature and cinema,
will host a discussion on the evening of Monday 23 September at the Alliance Française de Canberra which will be
followed by a book-signing and refreshments.
